Director of Sales & Business Development (CDMO) – Asia
Japan | Full-Time | Biopharma/CDMO Sector

A fast-growing, human-centric CDMO is seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Director to expand its presence across Asia. This remote role is key to driving regional growth, building strategic client relationships, and positioning the company as a trusted partner in the development and manufacturing of injectable therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term client partnerships

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities

  • Lead sales efforts from lead generation to contract negotiation

  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences

  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support growth

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years’ experience in biopharma/CDMO sales (Asia region preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of drug modalities (e.g., mAbs, ADCs, gene therapies) and injectable packaging (e.g., PFS, cartridges)

  • Technical background in life sciences; experience in sterile product development and manufacturing

  • Fluent in Japanese and English; Korean or Mandarin is a plus

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills
