Head of Business Development – Life Sciences Consulting
Our client is an established, international life sciences consulting organisation supporting global drug and device development projects. With a strong reputation for scientific and regulatory expertise, the company works with a diverse client base across Europe, North America, and Asia.
They are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to lead global commercial activities and drive sustainable revenue growth. This senior role combines strategic leadership with hands-on client acquisition and external representation.
Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the global business development strategy in line with corporate objectives.

Identify, engage, and secure new clients within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Identify new service offerings and business opportunities in collaboration with internal experts.

Represent the organisation at international conferences and industry events.

Provide regular reporting to senior leadership.

Travel internationally to support global business initiatives.
Candidate Profile

Degree in Life Sciences; advanced degree preferred.

8–10+ years’ experience in pharma or biotech drug development with a strong understanding of regulatory processes.

Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and external representation for life sciences service providers.

Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Able to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a global environment.

Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.

Willingness to travel internationally.
