Senior Director of Business Development – Europe
Location: Remote (Europe-based) | Travel Required
A leading global CDMO is seeking an experienced Senior Director to drive growth and lead strategic business development efforts across the EU region. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, science-driven organization and build the companies business in the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead regional sales and business development strategy in alignment with company goals.
- Grow the European sales team, including recruitment, training, and performance oversight.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
- Manage key client relationships, oversee high-value negotiations, and coordinate facility visits.
- Collaborate with operations to align customer needs with company capabilities and delivery timelines.
- Support marketing efforts, including content development, trade show participation, and digital outreach.
- Maintain CRM records and generate regular sales reports.
Requirements:
- MSc in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in CMO/CDMO sales
- Proven track record in sales growth and client acquisition.
- Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and intercultural skills; multilingual capabilities a plus.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and internal events.
