Business Development / Sales Manager (B2B – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced B2B sales professional with a background in the regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (cGMP), ideally in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The role combines international business development, key account management, and strategic portfolio support. Regular on-site presence at a production facility in Germany is required, alongside international travel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Global sales of active pharmaceutical ingredients and contract manufacturing services

  • Outbound lead generation for existing products and development projects

  • Management and development of national and international key accounts

  • Customer visits and participation in industry trade events

  • Market analysis and portfolio strategy support

  • Revenue planning and pricing calculations

  • Internal coordination of customer requests across departments

  • Drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts


Candidate Profile

  • Proven B2B sales experience in a regulated pharmaceutical (cGMP) environment, ideally APIs

  • Willingness to work regularly on-site in Germany

  • Business-fluent German and English; additional languages advantageous

  • Experience negotiating industry-standard agreements (e.g. NDAs, supply and cooperation agreements)

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20–30%)

  • Strong relationship-building and customer service mindset

  • Interest in optimizing sales processes and systems (CRM, ERP, etc.)

  • Hands-on mentality suited to a mid-sized company environment
