Business Development Director – Biologics CDMO

Location: Remote / Travel Required
Industry: Biologics CDMO
Level: Director 

We’re seeking a driven, science-literate business development professional to lead growth in biologics development and manufacturing services, covering early to commercial-phase programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in mid-to-large pharma and biotech sectors.

  • Manage the full sales cycle for biologics drug substance and drug product services.

  • Build and maintain strategic client relationships; drive repeat and expansion business.

  • Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to align on proposals, strategy, and customer needs.

  • Attend industry events, manage CRM data (e.g., Salesforce), and provide regular sales reporting.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in CDMO sales or technical roles in biologics manufacturing.

  • Proven track record in securing and growing accounts in the CDMO space.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

  • Comfortable with cold outreach, frequent travel, and working in a dynamic environment.
