Sales Development Manager – Strategic Accounts Pharma
Hybrid - based from multiple office locations - Lisbon, Barcelona, Sofia

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Sales Development Manager to help grow and optimise sales from high-value existing clients within the pharmaceutical sector. This role plays a critical part in strengthening client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing strategies that enhance both revenue and profitability.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to key accounts, driving performance through market insights, proactive account management, and commercial excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients following contract finalisation.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.

  • Validate purchase orders against agreed contract terms.

  • Provide regular updates on order status, typically on a bi-weekly basis.

  • Support product launches as the main client interface.

  • Act as a first point of escalation for client issues or concerns.

  • Drive revenue and margin growth by:

  • Optimising order patterns and minimum order quantities (MOQs).

  • Addressing underperforming products with customers.

  • Proposing price adjustments where supported by market data.

  • Reviewing and interpreting profit-share data for strategic insight.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar client-facing commercial role within the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain processes.

  • Proven experience working with a B2B customer base in pharma.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable having commercial discussions, including challenging conversations when needed to improve profitability.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Europe.

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office, with experience in SAP and Power BI.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
