I am currently working with an incredibly exciting organization focused on developing and commercializing advanced cell therapies for serious medical conditions. Seeking a passionate and experienced Market Access Director to join our growing team at a leading biotech company dedicated to advancing burn care solutions. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring access and reimbursement for the innovative burn care therapies, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive market access strategies for our burn care portfolio.
Build and manage key relationships with national payers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) to secure favorable coverage and reimbursement for our products.
Conduct in-depth analyses of the burn care market landscape, including payer policies, coding, and pricing trends.
Drive market access by clearly articulating product value to key centers, leveraging expertise in therapeutic differentiation, hospital economics, treatment pathways, and PBM dynamics.
Develop and implement strategies to address payer concerns and ensure value proposition is effectively communicated.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Medical Affairs, Sales & Marketing) to ensure alignment and support market access initiatives.
Manage and mentor a team of Market Access professionals (if applicable).
Stay up-to-date on evolving regulations and policies impacting burn care reimbursement.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Market Access, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or medical device industry.
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing market access strategies for burn care or related therapeutic areas.
Strong understanding of the US healthcare reimbursement landscape, including payer contracting, coding, and pricing strategies.
Experience interacting with hospitals and contractors from a cost perspective.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Passion for patient advocacy and improving access to life-changing treatments.
