Principal Investigator/Psychiatrist
Mental Health Professional
Onsite – Watertown, Massachusetts

A leading, mission-driven clinical research organization is seeking a Psychiatrist or Neurologist to serve as Principal Investigator at its Massachusetts research site. Physicians with geriatric psychiatry, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

This role serves as the senior medical and scientific leader at the site, with full accountability for participant safety, protocol integrity, and regulatory compliance. The Principal Investigator works closely with an experienced clinical operations team to ensure studies are conducted with rigor, accuracy, and participant-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct or oversee psychiatric and neurological evaluations, physical exams, and safety assessments
  • Confirm participant eligibility and support randomization decisions
  • Review laboratory results, ECGs, and safety data; manage AEs and SAEs
  • Perform required study rating scales following certification
  • Ensure documentation meets ICH-GCP and FDA standards
  • Serve as the primary medical contact for sponsors and CROs
  • Partner with site operations to support recruitment, screening, and enrollment

Qualifications
  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry or Neurology
  • Geriatric psychiatry or neurodegenerative disease experience preferred
  • Prior clinical research experience helpful but not required
  • Ability to work on-site and engage directly with study teams and participants
