Position Overview
The Clinical Trial Sales Specialist will drive enrollment into active psychiatric clinical trials by engaging psychiatrists, hospitals, inpatient facilities, and community organizations. The majority of current studies focus on serious mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, with a strong emphasis on inpatient settings Clinical Trial Sales Specialist.
This position requires a consultative sales approach, relationship building within complex healthcare systems, and consistent achievement of monthly enrollment targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote clinical trial opportunities to specialty physicians and healthcare providers to achieve monthly enrollment goals
- Identify, develop, and expand relationships with psychiatrists, hospitals, and inpatient facilities
- Provide regular updates on referral activity, enrollment metrics, and new provider prospects
- Represent the organization professionally within the healthcare community, demonstrating sensitivity to mental health topics and the clinical trial process
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including Salesforce
- Collaborate closely with internal clinical teams to ensure seamless handoff of referred participants
- Conduct in person visits with providers; approximately 50 percent travel across the Northeast region
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant sales experience (medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, or hospital sales)
- Experience selling into hospital-settings, or specialty physician offices
- 2+ years of healthcare industry experience required
- Psychiatry or neurology experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required (Advanced degrees in nursing or medical background is a plus)
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and account closing skills
- Self-starter, highly organized, and entrepreneurial mindset
