Marketing & Business Development Manager – CDMO (m/f/d)
My client are looking for someone to make a meaningful impact in a company that’s driven by purpose. They are a fast growing international pharmaceutical organization committed to improving patients’ lives around the world. With over 2,000 employees globally, we specialize in the development, production, and commercialization of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.
To strengthen our CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) business, we are looking for a Marketing & Business Development Manager (m/f/d) who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering strategic growth.
- Develop and execute a targeted marketing and communication strategy for our CDMO business.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (regulatory, production, R&D, legal) to support strategic positioning in the global CDMO market.
- Conduct market and competitor analyses to identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
- Create compelling marketing and sales materials (digital and print), tailored presentations, and content to drive engagement.
- Plan and represent the company at international trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Select and manage suitable international channels and platforms for CDMO service promotion.
- Engage in direct outreach and relationship-building with prospective and existing clients.
- Lead negotiations on contracts and pricing, including review of legal agreements.
- Oversee customer projects, ensuring contract-compliant execution and high service quality.
- Participate in client meetings and travel internationally to build partnerships and monitor market trends.
- University degree in marketing, business administration, life sciences, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in B2B marketing—preferably in the pharmaceutical or CDMO sector.
- Proven track record in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the European pharmaceutical market.
- Fluent in English and proficient in German (spoken and written).
- Confident user of MS Office and relevant databases.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 25%).
- Independent, structured working style and a strong business mindset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
