Senior Facilities Engineer

 

BioTalent are currently working with a global pharmaceutical firm in the greater RTP area to appoint an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer with a strong background in a cGMP environment. This is an exciting project for a brand-new site, acting as the Subject Matter expert (SME) for all things Facilities, Utilities & GMP.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for ensuring the site is well maintained and ready for operational use. Including oversight/coordination for site services, space planning & utilisation, site drawings & working with Project Engineers on CAPEX projects
  • Facilities Engineer – Utilities is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all utilities at the site including the building management system (BMS).
  • Facilities Engineer – GMP Support is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all GMP support systems including the CMMS, and GMP equipment.
  • Facilities Engineer – CAPEX is responsible for the capital project management.
  • Responsible for all Engineering operations in the area of expertise. This includes working on CAPEX projects, providing technical assistance to maintenance/metrology, development/maintenance/continuous improvement of job plan templets, reliability of systems, automation, validation, etc.
  • Responsibilities includes the ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the site.  Facilities Engineers are responsible for completion of completion of Change Controls, Deviations, CAPAs, Risk Analysis (FMEAs and Criticality Assessments), SOPs and other documentation. 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Subject Matter expert in 1 key area from; Facilities, Utilities, GMP Support
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical writing (Change Controls, Deviations/CAPAs, SOPs, Job Plans, FMEAs, Criticality Assessments, etc.).
  • Demonstrated administrator knowledge of computer systems in the area of expertise (for example BMS for Facilities, CMMS for GMP Support, Maptician for Facilities, etc.).
  • Ability to support internal and external audits.
