Planner – M&E Focus (Pharma/Hi-Tech Build)

A global technology client is seeking an experienced Planner to support the delivery of a major construction project in Limerick. This is a long-term opportunity for a Senior or Intermediate Planner to work directly with the client team on a complex program, supporting both pre-construction and live delivery stages.

Role Overview:

The Planner will lead the planning and programming of design, procurement, and construction activities on a high-spec manufacturing facility. You’ll be responsible for producing and managing schedules, supporting key project milestones, and providing clear reporting on progress and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the integrated project schedule, ensuring all phases from design to commissioning are logic-linked and realistic.

• Provide weekly/monthly progress reporting, highlighting critical path and key risk areas.

• Support the procurement and tendering process with event-based scheduling.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure schedule alignment.

• Maintain electronic planning records via the Common Data Environment (CDE).

• Evaluate subcontractor programmes and integrate updates into the master plan.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in project planning, ideally in construction or engineering environments.

• Strong understanding of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) scopes – life sciences experience is helpful but not essential.

• Proficient in Primavera P6 or similar planning tools.

• Good understanding of JCT or NEC contracts.

• Ability to manage planning on live projects, while supporting pre-construction activities.

• Based in or near Limerick (or open to regular on-site presence).
