Sensor Engineer - Biometric & Physiological Sensing
Job description
This position is based in San Francisco, CA and requires regular in-office work due to the hands-on nature of hardware prototyping.
Responsibilities
-
Lead development of next-generation biometric sensing systems
-
Build functional prototypes integrating sensor, electrical, mechanical, and firmware components

Conduct data analysis and early-stage algorithm development to evaluate feasibility and implement solutions

Develop and execute sensor development plans from concept through production readiness for systems designed to operate autonomously and reliably at large scale

Collaborate with product development and software/firmware teams to transition prototypes into production-ready designs
Qualifications
-
4+ years of industry experience developing sensing systems with demonstrated innovation

Strong system-level engineering mindset with hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical prototyping (e.g., PCBA development, rapid 3D prototyping)

Experience with signal processing software development and embedded system prototyping

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience
