This position is based in San Francisco, CA and requires regular in-office work due to the hands-on nature of hardware prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of next-generation biometric sensing systems

• Build functional prototypes integrating sensor, electrical, mechanical, and firmware components

• Conduct data analysis and early-stage algorithm development to evaluate feasibility and implement solutions

• Develop and execute sensor development plans from concept through production readiness for systems designed to operate autonomously and reliably at large scale

• Collaborate with product development and software/firmware teams to transition prototypes into production-ready designs

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience developing sensing systems with demonstrated innovation

• Strong system-level engineering mindset with hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical prototyping (e.g., PCBA development, rapid 3D prototyping)

• Experience with signal processing software development and embedded system prototyping

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience
