As part of their ongoing expansion they are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, who will be responsible for the development and deployment of their machine learning pipeline, as well as for building a scalable product that can support their future drug discovery programs.

As part of their ongoing expansion they are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, who will be responsible for the development and deployment of their machine learning pipeline, as well as for building a scalable product that can support their future drug discovery programs.

Your responsibilities will be:
- To implement and deploy machine learning methods with a focus on developing feature representations for designed proteins and Bayesian Optimisation methods for predicting and optimising protein function and developability.
- Develop robust data preprocessing pipelines.
- To provide mentorship and share best practice.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve the platform, based on what’s going on in industry and academia
You will have the following experience:
- Good knowledge of computational Bayesian statistics & experience with sample-efficient machine learning methods for smaller datasets.
- Experience with iterative design / combinatorial optimisation problems and Bayesian Optimisation and relevant technology such as BoTorch / GPyTorch or similar frameworks.
- Extensive experience with machine learning and related skills such as model validation.
- Previous Life Sciences industry experience, able to communicate and coordinate effectively with wet lab teams.
- Good python programming skills & experience writing production-grade code.
- Experience with databases & SQL.
