Principal Scientist, Process Development
BioTalent is supporting an exciting Texas-based Cell and Gene therapy manufacturer to appoint the Lead/Principal Scientist of the group. Leading teams, projects, and responsible for the build-out of their organization, set to double in headcount this year.
This role will offer you the opportunity to:
- Lead the Process Development group covering the latest in Cell & Gene therapy technologies
- Lead all Process Development & Tech Transfer projects.
- Longer-term growth including leading a highly successful team of PD Scientists.
- Work cross-functionally, collaborating with teams spanning all aspects of pre-clinical, clinical and commercial development.
- Expand and build out your team through this year and into next year.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing technology development and innovation projects.
- Managing process/technology transfers.
- Communication between functions and areas as well as customer interactions.
- Representing PD for all regulatory inspections and customer audits.
- Continuous improvement programs for all processes in line with company initiatives
- Responsible for timelines, deadlines, and costs.
You must have the following:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or similar/related discipline with 4+ years of relevant industry experience (BS/MS considered with relevant experience).
- Experience working with Cell or Gene therapies.
- Experience working with scale-up and tech transfer to GMP manufacturing.
- CDMO experience preferred.
- Legal right to work in the USA without Visa Sponsorship.
