Field Application Scientist

BioTalent have teamed up with a fast growing organisation bringing transformative tools to the forefront of cell and gene therapy development. They are looking for a Field Applications Scientist to support their portfolio across Europe (you must be based in Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark or France), with a strong focus on emerging technologies in cell line development and early bioprocessing workflows.

 

🧬 What You’ll Do

As part of the commercial team, you'll be the scientific bridge between customers and innovative technology:

  • Deliver high-impact product demonstrations, training, and support on instrumentation and applications
  • Guide early adopters through new workflows from evaluation to implementation
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges during setup, training, and post-sale activities
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and field support to accelerate the adoption of new technologies
  • Create detailed data reports that help close deals and strengthen customer relationships
  • Train internal teams and customers on the science and technical value of new tools
  • Represent Advanced Instruments at key conferences, exhibitions, and customer sites across the region

 

✅ What You Bring

  • Degree in a life sciences field
  • Hands-on experience in mammalian cell line development (essential)
  • Proven success in a Field Applications Scientist or customer-facing scientific role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting mindset and a proactive, collaborative approach
  • Willingness to travel frequently (50%, including international)
  • Valid EU passport and driver’s license
