Job description

Lead the Midwest in Microscopy & Imaging Sales!

Do you have a strong scientific background and a hunger to succeed? We're looking for a highly technical and results-oriented Microscopy & Imaging Sales Representative to join our team in the vibrant Chicago area (or potentially Minneapolis)!

This role is a perfect fit for you if you're ready to leverage your academic and presentation skills in a dynamic commercial setting. Put your scientific knowledge to work, providing cutting-edge solutions to our customers in the life sciences (biotech & pharma) and academic sectors. Here, you'll have the ability to control your own income through a competitive base salary and a truly uncapped commission structure.

In this dynamic role, you'll play a vital role in scientific discovery, partnering with leading universities, hospitals, and research labs across the Midwest (covering IL, MN, WI, and MI).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate Relationships: Build strong connections with key decision-makers, from CFOs and Lab Managers to Graduate Students, across diverse scientific fields.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to identify new customers and expand sales within the assigned territory.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of microscopy and imaging techniques (including Electron, Confocal, and Atomic Force Microscopes) to provide expert advice and solutions to customer needs.
  • Solution Selling: Present and demonstrate the value proposition of our microscopy and imaging systems.
  • Partnerships: Collaborate with our valued center partners to ensure seamless customer service.

You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:

  • Strong Scientific Background: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field (with a strong preference for a background in Pathology). A Master's/PHD degree or relevant research experience is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience (2+ years) with microscopy and imaging techniques, including Electron, Confocal, or Atomic Force Microscopes.
  • Relationship Builder: A natural ability to connect with people at all levels and build strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Sales Drive: A passion for exceeding sales goals and driving new business development.
  • Excellent Communication: The ability to deliver clear, concise, and engaging presentations.
  • Lifelong Learner: A passion for staying current on advancements in microscopy, imaging, and scientific research.

Ready to join a team that's passionate about making a real difference in the field of scientific discovery? We are!
