IT Infrastructure & Operation Support

BioTalent are working alongside a CRDMO based in North Rhine-Westphalia to find a German-speaking IT Infrastructure & Operation Support to join them permanently. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience, solution-focused individual who can operate within a fast-paced environment, has a self-starter mentality and is able to work autonomously on both local and global tasks.

Reporting directly into the Head of IT, this individual will be joining a team of 4 and will be responsible for the overall architecture, design, security and project management of the German sites. In addition to this, the successful individual will be contributing to service improvement initiatives and will play a key role in designing and implementing IT policies and protocols.

This position requires someone who has an existing background in working within regulatory manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT site services following the service catalogue and SLA’s (such as laptop imaging, help desk and service desk support)
  • Develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with IT leaders
  • Act as primary contact to confirm requests with Business department and provide input into project budget
  • Ability to plan enterprise-wide standards for infrastructure, including collection of hardware, software, networks, data centres and facilities
  • Provide all assigned IT Service Operations tasks as assigned for assigned sites
  • Participate in local and global IT projects and coordinate roll-outs
  • Collaborate with the global IT teams to assure the IT infrastructure architecture, design, deployment, utilization and enhancement of information technology
  • Responsible for hardware selection within IT hardware policy and configuration, including making major purchasing decisions
  • Follow IT security policy, evaluates information risk to entire site/company, and lead to solve the risk together with IT security team
  • Deliver management and executive level KPI, and SLA reporting regarding security, risk, and effectiveness of mitigation
  • Suggest & implement industry best practices in production and project delivery

Experience Needed:
  • Experience in IT support and / or IT operations, ideally in regulatory manufacturing environment
  • Desktop support incl. MS Office Suite
  • MS Windows Server administration
  • Network technologies / protocols and administration
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Virtualization
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Preferred Technical background/understanding in areas of Cisco, MPLS, TCPIP, VoIP, Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Ability to understand complex and abstract IT and business objectives in order to develop effective IT solutions.
  • Ability to manage IT Infra. projects at new sites
  • Relationship management and the ability to influence skills and engage colleagues with different backgrounds and areas of expertise
  • Work with virtual teams located in different countries around the world, aligning and adapting different work, culture and communication styles
  • Experiences in collaboration within international teams
