Job description

I am seeking a skilled and accomplished professional to take on a new leadership position as Head of Pharmacovigilance within an esteemed Healthcare organisation bordering Greater London.

 

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring strict adherence to legislative, regulatory, and SLA requirements related to complaints, incident management, and pharmacovigilance reporting. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the PV team and spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing customer and patient outcomes and complaints.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Develop and implement a business plan aligned with the Clinical Governance and Quality Strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, SLAs, and best practices.
  • Own and deliver the Patient Safety Strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and align best practices in patient safety.
  • Lead root cause analysis and the implementation of preventative actions, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and operational support for pharmacovigilance reporting, ensuring positive client relationships and compliance with SLAs.
  • Maximize team performance by cascading objectives, coaching, identifying resourcing requirements, and effectively managing talent and succession pipelines.
  • Proactively manage relationships with major stakeholders, support NHS client relationship management, and build strong professional connections.

 

You will bring the following:

  • Extensive experience in clinical governance and pharmacovigilance, specifically in a clinical or hospital environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, especially with larger teams and departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance within a healthcare environment, including the interpretation and application of regulations.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives, reducing complaints, driving NPS, and implementing risk management strategies.
