Job description

This Drug Supply Manager Opportunity stands out because of the impact the successful person will have on a developing company with unique technology. This is a crucial role in the development to establish their logistics and supply chain processes for their autologous cell therapies.  Building on what is already in place to scale this up to meet demand as they have 6 therapies under pre-clinical development with a pipeline building behind this.
The company have secured series B funding with two sites, one in Berlin and another in San Francisco.  They are developing T Cell therapies for the treatment of solid tumours with proof of concept demonstrated for multiple TCR’s at preclinical stage.  With over ninety undisclosed cancer targets and candidates at pre-clinical testing.

You will be responsible for

  • All aspects of planning, and execution of logistics functions for their clinical programmes.
  • Build on their established processes to optimise and develop these further
  • Manage the critical, time sensitive functions of a Cell Therapy Programme
  • Work with external stakeholders to ship leukapheresis to manufacturing from clinical sites and return of drug product to clinical sites.
  • Coordinate with the CMO to manage timing of manufacturing at production facilities and manage logistics vendors.
  • Work with clinical team, clinical sites and external stakeholders to ensure IP supply and on time starting material
  • Work with clinical team, apheresis centres and CMO to schedule patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations and couriers to schedule pick & delivery of leukapheresis and drug products to relevant sites.
  • Identify areas for improvements based on your understanding of supply chains and best practice.

You will bring the following

  • Experience of managing complex supply chains – preferably Cell Therapy / Biotech or relatable fields.
  • Experience of managing complex schedules in dynamic environments
  • Understanding of GMP, GDP or GCP.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritise, identify and address challenges.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment,
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
