Job Title: Associate Engineer
Location: Sandwich, Kent (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite)
Department: Engineering
Summary:
We are looking for an Associate Engineer to join our team. The Associate Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing projects to improve equipment, manufacturing process capability, reliability, and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects up to £250K
- Work with a team of engineers to identify potential improvement projects
- Drive projects to completion
- Understand company requirements and create specifications and designs for engineering solutions
- Draft, review and update engineering procedures and processes
- Ensure maintenance requirements are fully catered for
- Manage and review engineering compliance
- Lead near miss, incident and event investigations
- Carry out Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to address and resolve repeat failures
- Provide engineering expertise to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
- Conduct optimization studies to define value adding maintenance strategies
- Manage and supervise contractors to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Partner with the engineering team to ensure agreed service level agreements are met
- Produce drawings with AutoCAD to support projects
- Help to oversee the sites energy management
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree, either in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering
- 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) is advantageous
