Advanced Technology Manager – Surgical (Ireland)

We are searching for an addition to the sales team and would love to speak with those who hold a deep understanding of ophthalmology to take responsibility over the Irish territory (both Northern and Republic). This role requires a professional with a profound understanding of intraocular lenses and/or cataract surgeries/equipment as well as a robust sales acumen. The successful candidate will focus on developing new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, particularly within private clinics and practices, engaging directly with surgeons.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities with private clinics and practices to achieve sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and business growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide insights on competitor activities and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate local meetings and events within the territory to promote products and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Professional Representation: Uphold and project a professional and exemplary company image at all times.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated field sales experience within ophthalmology.
  • Strong results-oriented approach with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with surgeons and other senior professionals.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of authority and adapt messaging appropriately.
  • High resilience and a proactive attitude towards building and maintaining trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Competence in presenting complex information clearly to both individual and group audiences.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making skills grounded in fairness and consistency.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • University degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
