Job Title: Account Director

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to take full ownership of a high-touch client account, providing strategic guidance and operational support while partnering closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD). This is an opportunity for a proactive leader to manage complex projects independently and make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, time-intensive client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day account operations, taking work off the SAD’s plate.

  • Develop strategic plans and oversee execution across multiple workstreams, including congress initiatives, speaker decks, national broadcasts, and potential digital video projects.

  • Prepare meeting agendas, take notes, and drive follow-ups to ensure efficient, productive client interactions.

  • Lead brainstorming sessions and collaborative calls with the client, translating ideas into actionable plans.

  • Maintain strategic awareness to anticipate client needs and provide thoughtful solutions.

  • Partner with team members who are managing their own workstreams, providing guidance without direct reports.

  • Ensure all deliverables are high quality, on time, and aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in medical communications, preferably with peer-to-peer and congress-focused accounts.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-maintenance, strategic clients independently.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to create agendas, synthesize discussions, and drive action items.

  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and problem-solving in client-facing roles.

  • Comfortable leading calls and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and able to work without direct support, while mentoring or guiding colleagues as needed.
