Quality Engineer (Microbiologist) – Waterford, Ireland

BioTalent has partnered with a leading manufacturing solutions provider with multiple sites at a variety of locations worldwide. The organisation delivers comprehensive design, manufacturing, supply chain and product management services in a broad range of industries including medical devices and pharmaceutical systems.

They are looking to develop their team through the key hire of a Quality Engineer (Microbiologist) where you will play a key role in the development of microbiological methods, method validation and qualification.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of microbiological methods through the use of bioburden, endotoxin and sterility test methods against microbiology requirements in relevant standards and customer specifications.
  • Support the Quality Management System auditing function (will be trained if necessary).
  • Support the application of quality engineering tools and techniques on the validation protocols, cGMP, PFMEA’s.
  • Complete appropriate reports in relation to microbiological activities performed on site.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering / Science discipline with the cert/diploma/degree/postgraduate in microbiology.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a quality engineering or microbiologist position.
  • Experience in a Quality Engineering role (Not required for graduate opportunity) in a controlled environment (eg pharmaceutical, food industry)
  • Competent in Quality Management Standards.
