Head of Fermentation 

Location: Denmark (relocation supported)

BioTalent have been retained to support an exciting climate-tech scale-up on a for a Head of Fermentation. This business is using cutting-edge biotechnology to turn CO₂ into sustainable chemicals and has raised over $90M to date.

The Role

You’ll lead all fermentation activities — managing a small team, overseeing scale-up from lab to commercial, and driving technology transfer. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help shape and deliver the company’s biomanufacturing strategy.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years’ industrial fermentation experience

• Strong background in scale-up and aerobic fermentation

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotech, Biochemistry or related

• Skilled in experimental design, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration

• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
