Job Title: Project Manager (Equipment)
Location: Onsite – North Carolina
Engagement Type: Contract (C2C)
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $50–$80/hour DOE
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of a waste handling equipment project at a North Carolina-based facility. This is a 100% onsite role with no travel required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coordinating installations and operations for industrial equipment such as shredders, compactors, balers, and conveyance systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage installation projects for waste handling equipment

Coordinate with General Contractors during equipment installation
-
Oversee commissioning and testing of equipment
-
Deliver operator training and support knowledge transfer

Develop and document SOPs for equipment operation and maintenance

Map and document process and waste flows
-
Liaise with on-site waste collection vendors to ensure alignment and integration
Required Experience:
-
4–7 years of project management experience focused on industrial equipment

Proven track record with waste handling systems (shredders, balers, compactors, etc.)

Strong coordination skills with contractors and vendors

Hands-on experience in commissioning and operational readiness

Excellent documentation and communication skills
