This role will offer you

You will be responsible for

• Utilise a data-driven approach to optimise the performance of fermentation processes.
• Design and implement fermentation strategies to maximise the yield of lipid and oil production. This includes working closely to technology teams for process innovation.
• Take ownership of bioreactor systems including set-up, operation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance within the pilot plant facility for all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

You will bring the following

• A master’s degree or higher in a relevant subject e.g. Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Cellular Biology, Chemical Engineering
• Hands on industrial experience working with the design, execution and optimisation of lab/pilot-plant scale fermentation processes, ideally with yeast, microbial or fungal lines.
• Experience with the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of lab/pilot scale bioreactors/fermenters.
• Experience with nutrient production (e.g. lipids, oils, etc) highly desirable but not required, open to transferable experience from other areas of the industry.
