About the Role:

Biotalent is partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical company in Basel to support the expansion of their engineering team. We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Automation Engineer with strong German language skills and a background in automation technologies.

This is an urgent hire and represents a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly scaling team working on cutting-edge life sciences projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain electrical and automation systems in a GMP-regulated environment

• Work hands-on with technologies such as ABB 800xA, Emerson, or Siemens PCS7

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including validation, quality, and production

• Ensure systems are compliant with internal and external quality and safety standards

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise existing automation infrastructure

Key Requirements:

• Proven background in electrical engineering and automation

• Fluent German speaker – essential for on-site collaboration

• Experience with one or more of the following platforms: ABB 800xA, Emerson, Siemens PCS7

• Understanding of GMP environments or prior experience in a CDMO (desirable)

• Must be willing and able to work on-site in Basel
