A leading, privately held scientific research and technology organisation is seeking a Chief Platform Officer / Chief Technology Officer to join its executive leadership team.
This role will lead the development and operational excellence of an advanced AI- and computation-driven platform, working closely with experts across biology, chemistry, and data science to deliver high-impact scientific programmes with real-world outcomes.

Your role
- Define and execute the platform strategy across AI/ML, data engineering, computational biology, and structural biology
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams, setting clear objectives and driving excellence
- Oversee platform and project budgets, resource allocation, and operational performance
- Implement scalable processes to ensure robust, compliant, and high-quality scientific delivery
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align technical strategy with business objectives
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex scientific programmes, ensuring timelines and outcomes are met
What you’ll bring
- Proven track record in a senior leadership role within AI-enabled life sciences, technology-driven research, or data-centric environments
- Deep expertise in computational biology, AI/ML, cheminformatics, structural biology, or related scientific domains
- Strong strategic, operational, and people-leadership capabilities
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
