Associate Director of Supply Chain - London

Introduction:

BioTalent has partnered with a SME biopharmaceutical company based in London in the search for an Associate Director of Supply Chain. They are looking for a highly motivated individual that can take responsibility over establishing an effective supply chain function, which supports their early-stage clinical trial activities.

You will be responsible for:

Scheduling of apheresis shipments from clinical sites to the manufacturing site and of drug product shipments to the clinical sites in close coordination with the 3rd party logistics provider and internal teams (Clinical Operations & Production)
Ensuring materials availability to manufacture products for clinical trials
Management of the materials inventory (on and off site) incl. setting up of storage solutions
Vendor selection and oversight in close collaboration with our Quality and Technical groups
Being the key point of contact for 3rd party providers
Specify requirements and source material in collaboration with the relevant technical experts

You will bring the following:

Degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Life Sciences, Engineering or similar
Experience in pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management (experience with genetically modified cell therapy products as well as knowledge in the logistics requirements for cryopreserved materials)
Strong communication and stakeholder management; the ability to present information in a concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to interface cross-functionally both internally and externally
Facilitation and Negotiation skills
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, incl. importation of cellular material from 3rd countries would be highly desirable
