BioTalent are partnered with a leading multinational contract research organisation providing specialist imaging services for translational drug discovery and development. We are searching for a Senior Scientist to lead preclinical discovery research services. You will design, conduct, analyse and prepare reports on your work. This is an excellent opportunity to take charge of and manage research programmes and manage/train junior scientists within the team.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage projects from study open to completion.
• Design, execute, analyse, and report on pre-clinical discovery research studies across various therapeutic areas.
• Utilise and expand on your scientific domain expertise, offering expertise and leadership to the wider team.
• Lead communications with sponsors: understanding needs, presenting study designs and reporting results and developments throughout the project.
• Train and manage junior scientists in your immediate team: maintaining open and supporting communication.
• Work collaboratively with business development teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborations or partnerships.

You will bring the following:

• PhD or MSc (with equivalent experience) in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physics, Engineering)
• 6+ years of industry or postdoctoral experience.
• Experience in preclinical in vivo imaging such as PET, MRI, CT or SPECT.
• Imaging experience in one or more therapeutic/disease areas, looking at biodistribution and drug effects.
• Demonstrated leadership in a team environment and proven ability to confidentially communicate with customers.
