Job description
BioTalent is pleased to be working with a multinational medical equipment manufacturing company aimed at making transplantation and blood transfusion safe. Their work is life-changing for patients in need of a transfusion or transplant globally. We are looking to recruit an R&D Project Manager to manage projects from concept through to commercialisation. Overseeing timelines of the full product lifecycle.
The role will offer you:
- A unique insight into the whole product lifecycle from concept to commercialisation, overseeing timelines of research, development, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, quality assurance, marketing and sales.

You will be responsible for:
- Assist with leading and developing program management training and initiatives to enhance company culture.
- Develop and manage in-depth project plans throughout all phases of the product life cycle: overseeing the development of program schedules, resource allocation and budgets.
- Produce budget forecasts and maintains program status summaries and metrics for the portfolio.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, regulatory and QA departments and external stakeholders.
- Keeping on top of your understanding of key US and non-US regulations affecting the business.
- Establish and maintain best practices for program management.
- Follow relevant laboratory regulations concerning chemical hazards, blood-borne pathogens, safety, etc.
- Build a program with a global view: integrating the needs/portfolios of the U.S., Europe and the emerging markets of Asia.
You will bring the following:
- Minimum of a BSc in a scientific or engineering field. Advanced degrees preferred.
- 4+ years in product development for medical instruments/equipment, and research and clinical assays.
- 4+ years in project management.
- PMO certification preferred.
- Familiarity with FDA, IVDR and other regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of IVDR and immunohematology is desirable.
