QC Inspector
Job description
This Medical Device Company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector, ideally someone from a process/manufacturing Engineering background (non-senior).
Responsibilities:
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of medical devices to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections according to established procedures
Read and interpret engineering drawings to verify product specifications
Utilize hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, pin gauges, and force gauges for inspection purposes
Work in a cleanroom environment to maintain product cleanliness and integrity
Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records
Identify and report non-conformities, and participate in investigations and root cause analysis
Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
Manage and calibrate inspection equipment
Use quality software systems to track and report inspection data
Provide documentation and technical writing support as needed
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
Previous experience in quality control inspection within the medical device industry
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, pin gauges, and force gauges
Cleanroom experience
Strong communication skills in English; Spanish language skills beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with quality software systems preferred
Experience with documentation or technical writing
Equipment management and calibration experience
Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in FDA regulated industries
Process and incoming inspection focus
Working knowledge of QMS software
