Mental Health Professional – Clinical Research (Full-time, On-site)
Harlem, NY (10029) | Full-time | $90,000 – $120,000 + benefits

We are supporting a leading clinical research site network in their search for an experienced Mental Health Professional to join their team in Harlem, NY. This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to apply your clinical expertise in psychiatry and neurology within the context of innovative late-phase clinical trials, including emerging psychedelic research.

The Opportunity

As a Mental Health Professional, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic evaluations, administering neuropsychological assessments, and supporting participant enrollment into clinical trials. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality research and care, while also gaining exposure to cutting-edge investigational treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screening & Enrollment: Conduct structured clinical interviews and diagnostic evaluations to determine participant eligibility.

  • Assessments: Administer psychiatric and neuropsychological rating scales for trial participants.

  • Therapy & Monitoring: Serve as a dosing therapist/monitor for psychedelic trials, including preparation, in-session monitoring, and follow-up support. (Prior experience in psychedelic trials is a strong plus.)

Qualifications

  • Licensed or pre-licensed in New York State with one of the following:

    • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology

    • LCSW

    • LMHC

  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience in psychiatry, neurology, or related settings (e.g., diagnostic evaluations, therapy, patient care).

  • Experience in therapy and differential diagnosis strongly preferred.

  • Prior exposure to clinical trials or neuropsychological assessments a plus (training provided).

  • This role is not suitable for recent graduates without clinical experience.
