You will be responsible for:
- Planning and conducting experiments to determine effects of small molecules on Drosophila studies.
- Organising and updating experimental records.
- Setup of the Fly Lab.
- Maintenance of Drosophila stock and relevant equipment.
- Keeping to tight deadlines when delivering high quality data.
You will bring the following:
- BSc/MSc in a biology related subject or relevant experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience in drosophila genetics and fly pushing (including fly stock maintenance and crossing fly lines)
- Proven experience in data analysis.
- Desirable - experience conducting experiments to determine effects of small molecules on Drosophila studies.
- Desirable - Working knowledge of a broad range of cell-based assays, immunoassays and biochemical techniques.
