As a member of the DMPK group, the candidate is to conduct absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (ADME) studies to support the discovery and development of drug candidates. She/he will have opportunities for career growth through acquisition of new skills, experiences, and professional relationships in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare biological samples (plasma, tissues, and cells) for analysis
  • Analyze biological samples using LC-MS/MS
  • Develop/review analytical methods and troubleshoot as needed
  • Process, record, and manage experimental data
  • Review and upload ADME data from CROs to research portal
  • Summarize results in memo, report, and/or slide formats
  • Participate in group meetings, present results, and interpret data
  • Understand and follow standard operating protocols and laboratory requirements to conduct work safely
  • Coordinate and track external DMPK studies at various CRO
  • Prepare/review ADME reports for regulatory filings
  • Capable of prioritizing a diverse workload with strong time management skills
  • Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and flexible

 

Requirements

 

  • BS/MS degree with 5-15 years of industry experience or Ph.D. with 0-5 years of industry experience with major in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related experience in industry or academia.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and technical) and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize assays as needed, identifying, and applying novel techniques or protocols from reports in the scientific literature
  • Experience with sample preparation automation is desirable
  • General instrument competency including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working as the DMPK representative in project teams is a plus
  • Hands-on bioanalysis experience using LC-MS/MS required
  • Execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro assays to support the advancement of drug candidates
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience working with recombinant cell lines, primary cells, and human/ animal samples; experience with primary hepatocytes (culture and/or suspension) preferred
  • General computer skills including MS Office; pharmacokinetic analysis (example - noncompartmental analysis with Phoenix WinNonlin) desirable
