Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager

We are seeking a proactive and strategic-minded Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager to conduct market analysis, portfolio licensing, and acquisitions to ensure the sustainability and viability of our product portfolio. Utilizing your market expertise, business acumen, networking skills, and effective communication abilities, you will play a pivotal role in executing successful agreements and driving growth opportunities.


Conduct comprehensive market gap analysis, utilizing relevant market reports and databases to identify unmet needs, opportunities, and trends.
Evaluate the market potential of products across therapeutic categories, focusing on covering gaps and leveraging opportunities in the EME market.
Utilize desk and market research, including engaging with key opinion leaders and gathering internal and partner feedback to inform decision-making.
Conduct thorough reviews of the pharmaceutical market landscape and identify potential acquisition opportunities.
Identify portfolio licensing and acquisition options in alignment with agreed-upon strategies.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with licensors, manufacturers, and partners to ensure the sustainability of our portfolio.
Actively participate in pharmaceutical business development, portfolio, and partnership conferences.
Lead negotiations and close product licensing and local acquisition agreements, coordinating relevant business cases and internal approval processes.
Work collaboratively with commercial, marketing, business development, and portfolio teams to investigate pipeline-market dynamics and trends.


  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or relevant scientific space, MSc qualified is highly desirable
  • 5 years exp. of a proven track record in successful Business development roles.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
