I am currently seeking a dedicated Biomedical Scientist to join a Laboratory Diagnostics organisation based in London. As a vital member of our laboratory operations, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our histology department, delivering top-quality services in a timely manner.

You will be Responsible for:

• From reception to dispatch, ensure specimens are processed, cut, stained, and handled with utmost precision and adherence to turnaround times.
• Assist in workload management, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our work output.
• Regular and accurate archiving of samples to ensure efficient retrieval when needed.
• Participate in relevant training courses to stay updated with industry advancements and best practices.
• Operate and maintain histology equipment in accordance with department policies.
• Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations and maintain safe laboratory practices at all times.
• Subject to competency and training, participate in specimen dissection.
• Engage in annual staff appraisals and demonstrate commitment to personal and professional growth.

You will bring the following:

• You must be HCPC registered BMS and member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences in the UK.
• Have a minimum 2 years of post-registration experience in a histology laboratory setting.
• Have a strong understanding of histological techniques, familiarity with Health & Safety codes, laboratory IT systems, and accreditation processes.
