Job description
Electrical Engineer – Medical Imaging Systems
We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of next-generation medical imaging hardware, with ownership across circuit design, prototyping, verification, and manufacturing support. This role offers strong cross-functional exposure and the opportunity to work on regulated, high-impact medical technology.
What You’ll Do
- Design and troubleshoot printed circuit assemblies, power distribution systems, cables, and harnesses
- Own portions of the electrical development lifecycle from concept through design transfer and production support
- Specify, select, and test electronic and electromechanical components
- Develop prototypes, test fixtures, and qualification test methods
- Support manufacturing and field issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Create and maintain schematics, requirements, verification documentation, and ECNs
- Collaborate with mechanical, systems, software, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing teams
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cost, quality, and lifecycle improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5–8+ years of electrical/electronic product development experience
- Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries preferred
Technical experience with:
- Analog and digital circuit design
- PCB design and PCBA manufacturing processes
- Schematic capture / PCB CAD tools (Mentor, OrCAD, Altium, CADSTAR, or similar)
- Lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, function generators)
Nice to have:
- SMPS and mixed-signal design (ADC/DAC)
- EMI/ESD mitigation and signal/power integrity
- High-speed interfaces (PCIe, 10G Ethernet)
- IEC 60601-1 / 60601-1-2, ISO 14971, EMC compliance experience
- Full product lifecycle development experience
