Radiochemist I/II | Isotope Production | Atlanta, GA $26.50 – $32.00/hr | Temporary with Intent to Convert
We're partnering with a globally recognized leader in nuclear medicine and isotope production to find a Radiochemist for their Atlanta-area production team. This is a temp role with strong intent to convert to permanent in 2027.
What You'll Do:
We're partnering with a globally recognized leader in nuclear medicine and isotope production to find a Radiochemist for their Atlanta-area production team. This is a temp role with strong intent to convert to permanent in 2027.
What You'll Do:
- Manufacture calibration standards, check sources, and proficiency evaluation samples
- Produce radioactive sources supporting an internal traceability program
- Perform QC measurements and maintain nuclear counting equipment
- Support radioisotope and chemical inventory management
- Inspect incoming materials and maintain lab equipment and supplies
- Support radioactive waste management, contamination surveys, dose surveys, and minor decontamination
- Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment
- Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 17043, and internal quality management systems
- B.S. in Chemistry or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ year of wet laboratory experience minimum
- Familiarity with nuclear counting methodology or nuclear physics is a strong plus
- Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) knowledge
- Detail-oriented with ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals and open radioactive materials
- Solid math skills — algebra, statistics, probability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with power tools or machinery is a bonus
