Radiochemist I/II | Isotope Production | Atlanta, GA $26.50 – $32.00/hr | Temporary with Intent to Convert
We're partnering with a globally recognized leader in nuclear medicine and isotope production to find a Radiochemist for their Atlanta-area production team. This is a temp role with strong intent to convert to permanent in 2027.
What You'll Do:
  • Manufacture calibration standards, check sources, and proficiency evaluation samples
  • Produce radioactive sources supporting an internal traceability program
  • Perform QC measurements and maintain nuclear counting equipment
  • Support radioisotope and chemical inventory management
  • Inspect incoming materials and maintain lab equipment and supplies
  • Support radioactive waste management, contamination surveys, dose surveys, and minor decontamination
  • Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 17043, and internal quality management systems
What We're Looking For:
  • B.S. in Chemistry or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year of wet laboratory experience minimum
  • Familiarity with nuclear counting methodology or nuclear physics is a strong plus
  • Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) knowledge
  • Detail-oriented with ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals and open radioactive materials
  • Solid math skills — algebra, statistics, probability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with power tools or machinery is a bonus
