Job Title: Director/ Senior Medical Director of Medical Affairs- Remote

Reports to: Chief Medical Officer

Job Purpose

The Medical director of Medical Affairs will act as the primary point of contact for many key external relationships by bringing medical practice experience and knowledge of urologic cancers. This individual will also be responsible in collaboration with the CMO and VP of clinical science for the clinical planning and medical monitoring of clinical validity and utility studies with large practices or academic institutions, as well as helping to launch newer diagnostics products acquired or developed by the Company. This individual will oversee all the medical affairs activities in the US and internationally, as well as the medical affairs organization.

Medical Affairs Management

•Oversee all medical affairs activities in the US and internationally, and provide leadership to the Medical Science Liaisons (and other future employees of the medical affairs organization)

•Deliver clinical presentations, attend meetings with key physicians and groups as requested by the medical and commercial teams, and convey complex medical messages clearly to all levels within the organization.

•Establish and maintain “Trusted Advisor” external relationships with KOLs, guideline committee members, physicians, clinicians and with internal teams as a subject matter expert on urologic oncology, genomic biomarkers, and Company diagnostic tests.

•Provide clinical expertise to enrich training programs, journal clubs, and ad hoc literature reviews; train Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and others as needed.

•Support the formation and use of the Clinical Advisory council in the U.S.

•Provide clinical review of submissions for regional and national managed care and reimbursement objectives.

•Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and regulatory guidelines in development and execution of educational programs.

•Collaborate with marketing, sales, and market access teams to identify and understand current and future competitive landscapes.

Clinica l Study Management

•In collaboration with the CMO and VP of clinical science, Design, evaluate, and execute studies that further validate and expand the indications and uses for Company tests; serve as medical monitor for ongoing studies if needed.

•Assist in the review of study protocols and engagements with investigators interested in developing and performing independent studies with Company tests in urologic oncology.

•All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

•Medical qualification (MD, PhD, DO)

•5+ years post-qualification experience practicing Urology or Oncology (required)

•5+ years in oncology diagnostics or urology industry (preferred)

•Established relationships with KOLs in the urology market (preferred)

•Results-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

•A resilient self-starter with a growth mindset that works well under pressure.

•Able to communicate complex concepts precisely, concisely and in simple language.

•Commercially and financially astute.

•Able to manage budgets and prioritize spending based on company’s priorities.

•Able to manage large groups of personnel with varying backgrounds and abilities.

•Understand and apply the Company’s relevant policies, procedures and working practices to ensure a safe and commercially sound professional practice.

•Meet professional requirements by working within a professional value base and conforming to agreed codes of professional practice.

Physical Environment

Functions primarily in a clinical laboratory environment. Work requires the ability to sit and stand throughout the workday; position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for computer and phone work; position requires the ability to talk and hear; good vision skills (with or without correction) are required. Must be accessible to the laboratory for electronic, personal, or phone consultation as needed. Some travel required, including overnight.
